The biggest upset of the week belonged to Riverton, who took down 345th ranked Riverton, 44-19.
Fans got a thrill when Josh Lindsey and Vince Vignali connected against North Mac. The connection was good for 54 yards, the longest such play in Sangamo this season.
Williamsville's dynamic duo of Lindsey and Cole Courson proved tough for the Panthers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lindsey threw for 300 yards and 5 touchdowns and Courson had 101 yards receiving. Vignali helped Williamsville's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 104 yards.
The Bullets' dynamic duo of Lindsey and Courson proved to be unstoppable against North Mac, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Tyler Cloyd was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 88 yards on 17 carries as New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly bested J.D. Lorton's team. Teammate Cam Cummings added to the ground attack by rushing for 45 yards.
Courson was the best wideout in the league this week as Aaron Kunz's team topped the Panthers.
He was 18-27 with 0 interceptions.
Lindsey put up the best numbers through the air as the Bullets bested North Mac.
6-foot-2 quarterback Lindsey of Williamsville is the league leader in passing yards this season with 358. He has also thrown 5 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Chase Creviston. The New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly star has 11 catches for 165 yards.
A big matchup in Sangamo this week will be when Pleasant Plains takes on the Bullets. The Cardinals are in fifth place, while Williamsville is in first place.
PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from eighth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Bluejays defeated the Hawks 44-19.
