Dutchtown posted their closest win since November 23, 2024 on Monday. They skirted past the Lassiter Trojans 54-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dutchtown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Serenity Scott, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaleia Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophie Hortman, who posted 18 points and five boards. That's the most points Hortman has posted since back in February of 2024. Gabbi Maher was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 16 points.
Dutchtown's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Lassiter, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Dutchtown will square off against Langston Hughes at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. Langston Hughes will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Dutchtown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lassiter, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-49 victory against Roswell on the 4th.
