Polytechnic was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Westridge on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 19-1. That looming 19-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.
Amelia Shih and Kate Asperger made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Shih didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Asperger pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Shih has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Shih scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Asperger scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3.
