The Plano Reapers lost against the Genoa-Kingston Cogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Plano fell just short of the Cogs by a score of 44-42. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Plano in their matchups with the Cogs: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Plano still got an impressive performance from Josie Larson, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleksa Martinez, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Plano has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season. As for Genoa-Kingston, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plano will play host again and welcome the Hornets, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harvard is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Genoa-Kingston, they will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
