The Quince Orchard Cougars put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Sherwood at home to the tune of 64-6. Considering Quince Orchard has won seven matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quince Orchard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nino Marzullo, who threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Iverson Howard, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
Quince Orchard's win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.7 points per game. As for Sherwood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Quince Orchard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sherwood will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th.
