Logan had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Layton on Monday. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 14-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Cambree Cooper made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Taryn Craner was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Jayzanna Pauni was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Logan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win was the sixth in a row for Logan, bringing their record up to 17-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Layton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Logan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Layton, they will head out to challenge Syracuse at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
