The Fayetteville Wolves suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Victory Christian, falling 87-53. Fayetteville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Thomas, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Braden Liner, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Fayetteville struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Victory Christian pulled down 26 offensive rebounds.
William Wilson-Hueter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Victory Christian, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 22 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson-Hueter has scored all season. Caden Brunson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Fayetteville's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Victory Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.
Fayetteville will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Isabella at 6:30 p.m. Isabella is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Victory Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Cullman Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Cullman Christian is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
