The Barron Golden Bears will take on the Cameron Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Barron has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
While Barron's victory against Ashland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Bears won by a run and slipped past the Oredockers 12-11. The win was nothing new for the Golden Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

Madalyn Kallsen was excellent, going a perfect 5-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Isabella Grant also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Barron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Cameron hadn't done well against St. Croix Falls recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Comets came out on top against the Saints by a score of 4-0.
Not much got past Emerson Krahenbuhl, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep St. Croix Falls off the board.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubree Kreier, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Rayna Schroeder, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run.
Barron's record is now 5-14. As for Cameron, their record now sits at 15-10-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Barron hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. However, it's not like Cameron struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Barron suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Cameron in their previous matchup on May 5th. Can the Golden Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
