The Saluda Tigers lost against the Strom Thurmond Rebels back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Saluda took a 32-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Strom Thurmond. Saluda has struggled against Strom Thurmond recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Katlyn Chinn was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 19 points along with 4 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Strom Thurmond's points. Sunasia Saxon was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Saluda's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Strom Thurmond, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saluda will face off against Ridge Spring-Monetta at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Ridge Spring-Monetta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 46 on Tuesday. As for Strom Thurmond, they will head out on the road to face off against Emerald at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
