Even though The Arab Knights have not done well against the Guntersville Wildcats recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Arab walked away with a 29-19 victory over Guntersville. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Arab also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Arab's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Guntersville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arab will challenge Hazel Green at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hazel Green is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Guntersville, they will head out on the road to face off against Sardis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sardis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Guntersville is ranked 47th).
