The Fletcher Senators won the last time they faced the Sandalwood Saints, and things went their way on Thursday too. Fletcher came out on top against the Saints by a score of 55-43.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fletcher to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Vaglienti, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sam Perry, who scored nine points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antonio Hodges, who scored 13 points. Anthony Evans was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Fletcher's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Sandalwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Fletcher will be playing at home against the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paxon School For Advanced Studies presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Senators in Florida (the Golden Eagles are ranked 39th, while the Senators are ranked 321st). As for Sandalwood, they will head out on the road to face off against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fernandina Beach will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
