After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Doral Academy, Mater Lakes Academy was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They walked away with  a   7-2  win over the Dr. Krop Lightning. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mater Lakes Academy also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2019.
 Mater Lakes Academy got a great performance from  Alejandro Napoles as he  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Jonathan Vazquez was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Andres Gomez, who  scored a  run and  stole four bases while going 1-for-2.
 On Dr. Krop's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Rafael Peraza, who  went 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 The  victory  got Mater Lakes Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Dr. Krop, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost five of their last six contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record  this season.
 Mater Lakes Academy will be playing at home against Miami Christian at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Dr. Krop, they will be staying on the road  on Monday to face off against Archbishop McCarthy at 7:00  p.m. Dr. Krop's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Archbishop McCarthy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
