The Marlboro Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Cherokee Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Marlboro extended their postseason success on Friday against Hillsborough. They didn't even let the Raiders onto the board and left with a 12-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marlboro.
Meanwhile, Cherokee was able to grind out a solid victory over Kingsway on Friday, taking the game 28-21.
It was another big night for Murad Campfield, who rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Marlboro's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Cherokee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
