Softball Recap: Warren Has No Trouble Against Hamburg

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monticello, Warren was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Hamburg Lions as they made off with a 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Charlee Wardlaw was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Presley Reep, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Warren's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-5. As for Hamburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warren will take on Watson Chapel at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Magnolia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
