The American School for the Deaf Tigers lost against the Marvelwood Pterodactyls last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. American School for the Deaf fell 58-51 to the Pterodactyls. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for American School for the Deaf in their matchups with the Pterodactyls: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, American School for the Deaf still got an impressive performance from John M, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 16 rebounds. That was a full 70.6% of American School for the Deaf's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Winkester M, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
American School for the Deaf dropped their record down to 5-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Marvelwood, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American School for the Deaf and the will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Rhode Island School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday. Marvelwood will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on February 17th.
