Porter Ridge's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kali Williams, who went 13 of 16 on her way to 29 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards, and Ashanti Taylor, who posted 37 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The contest was Taylor's 19th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Malcolm, who put up 11 points and six steals.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Porter Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.
Meanwhile, Cuthbertson was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Sun Valley 67-34. The match marked the Cavaliers' most dominant win of the season so far.
Cuthbertson's win came from a few key players Porter Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ava Beals, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 27 points along with five assists and five boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Amayah Rogers was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine boards.
Porter Ridge pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Cuthbertson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Porter Ridge hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 58.4 points per game. It's a different story for Cuthbertson, though, as they've been averaging only 39.5 points. The only thing between Porter Ridge and another offensive beatdown is Cuthbertson. Will they be able to keep them contained?
