Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Nicholas County had to settle for a 60-57 loss against PikeView. Nicholas County has struggled against PikeView recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Nicholas County's loss came about despite a quality game from Trey Stump, who scored 25 points. Landon Hanna was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sissonville ended up a good deal behind Wayne on Monday and lost 71-57.
Nicholas County has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Sissonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Nicholas County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Sissonville when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 61-57 win.
