Morristown is 1-7 against Tri since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Morristown Yellow Jackets will face off against the Tri Titans at 7:30 p.m. Morristown is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Last Thursday, Morristown humbled Indianapolis Lutheran with a 61-17 victory. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Morristown can attribute much of their success to Nevaeh Sanders, who went 8 for 17 en route to 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Nevaeh Cox, who went 8 of 12 on her way to 16 points and three steals. Sanders' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Emma Nelson was another key player, putting up nine points.
Morristown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tri, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 64-54 victory over Eastern Hancock on Thursday.
Tri's win came from a few key players Morristown will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jillian Chew, who posted 16 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kenley Cornelius, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Morristown is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Tri, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Morristown has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Tri struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Morristown was taken down by Tri 71-36 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Chew, who went 10 for 15 en route to 29 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. Now that Morristown knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
