The NorthWood Panthers won against the Triton Trojans last Thursday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Everything went NorthWood's way against Triton as NorthWood made off with a 52-28 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for NorthWood.
NorthWood was led to victory by Ella Branham and Haylee Heflin. Branham scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds, while Heflin scored 13 points along with 4 steals. Branham is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Claire Payne, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
NorthWood's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Triton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
NorthWood will head out on the road to face off against Warsaw at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Warsaw knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully NorthWood likes a good challenge. As for Triton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Trinity focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Monday.
