The Dawson Bulldogs waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Mart by a score of 51-43. That's another feather in the cap for Dawson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Dawson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Allen led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Allen has scored at least a third of Dawson's points. Another player making a difference was Hastin Easley, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Dawson has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Mart, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
