Covington was successful in their previous meeting against Craig County, and they didn't afford Craig County any payback this time around. The Cougars put a hurting on Craig County to the tune of 47-12. The win was familiar territory for Covington, who now has three in a row.
The victory bumped Covington's record up to 5-4. Craig County's loss makes it five in a row and drags their record down to 2-7.
Covington will square off against Bath County at 7 p.m. ET next week. After those two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune. Craig County will be playing at home against Eastern Montgomery at 7 p.m. ET. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
