The biggest upset of the week belonged to Kalamazoo Central, who took down 367th ranked Kalamazoo Central, 22-20.
Lakeshore extended the longest winning streak in Southwestern Michigan - West this week by beating Mattawan, 28-16. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
JOHNNY NATE put up the best numbers through the air as Lakeshore beat the Wildcats. He finished with a total of five completions for 45 yards and one touchdown. NATE's favorite target this week was ZAK DRAKE, who caught two passes for 21 yards.
Trevor Sweeney was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 136 yards on 21 carries as Mattawan lost to Denny Dock's team. Brok Lamorandier also contributed to the rushing game with 113 yards on the ground.
Stafford was the best wideout in the league this week as Matt Stephens' team lost to the Lancers. Stafford racked up three receptions for 42 yards. Bj Butler helped Mattawan's passing attack out by catching one ball for six yards.
Lakeshore's NATE and HAROLD WIGGINS have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Southwestern Michigan - West in both passing and receiving yards. NATE has thrown for 1211 yards this season, while WIGGINS, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 42 catches for 608 yards. Sweeney from the Wildcats leads the league in rushing with 1207 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Mattawan takes on Portage Northern. The Wildcats' offense has racked up 310 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Huskies have allowed only 74 on the year.

The Huskies moved up to 34 from 67 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Portage Northern was able to make the jump by beating Portage Central 42-13.
