The Vincennes Rivet Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-36 walloping at the hands of Northeast Dubois. Vincennes Rivet has not had much luck with Northeast Dubois recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Northeast Dubois got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Schroering out in front who scored 17 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Schroering scored 15 or more points. Adam Dooley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Vincennes Rivet dropped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for Northeast Dubois, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vincennes Rivet will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Red Hill at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Red Hill is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Northeast Dubois, they will head out on the road to challenge Jasper at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
