Detroit is 9-1 against the Pirates since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Detroit Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Bowie Pirates at 4:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Detroit was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-38 to the Tigers. Detroit has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Bowie over the Cardinals in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Bowie blew the Cardinals out of the water with a 49-20 final score. Bowie pushed the score to 37-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals had little chance of recovering from.
Detroit's loss dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Bowie, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-11.
Detroit beat the Pirates 37-30 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Detroit since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
