They were outmatched by Veritas Christian Academy on the road and fell 58-4. Lake Lure Classical Academy has not had much luck with Veritas Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Ronii Sherlin was Lake Lure Classical Academy's leading scorer, having posted three points.
Gynnifer Dorn held things down on the boards with four rebounds.
Veritas Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooke Miller, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Miller is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aunica Tomlinson, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Lake Lure Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Lure Classical Academy will take on The Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Master's Academy's defense has only allowed 26.5 points per game this season, so Lake Lure Classical Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome United Faith Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully United Faith Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Tuesday.
