 Westerly found their leader in underclassman  Landon Husereau, who threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns. That high mark didn't come from nowhere:  Husereau now  passed for three or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.
 East Providence's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Westerly, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
 While East Providence had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
