Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Leopards on Saturday, falling 38-7. Northwestern Lehigh's loss signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.
Shane Leh threw for 117 yards and a touchdown.
Devon Hildebrand was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards. On the ground,
Dalton Clymer rushed for 107 yards.
Quinton Martin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Belle Vernon, rushing for 154 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Martin really tore up the turf during one magnificent 92-yard run. Jake Gedekoh and his 91 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Belle Vernon's win.
Northwestern Lehigh's loss dropped their record down to 15-1. As for Belle Vernon, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Northwestern Lehigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Belle Vernon also has no future games currently scheduled.
