Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 46-43 win from a begrudging Maverickssquad.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-48, which was the final score in Nedrose's tilt against Westhope/Newburg on Saturday. Nedrose was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-19.
Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Nedrose, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood against Nedrose in their previous meeting back in February as the squad secured a 62-33 win. Will Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood repeat their success, or does Nedrose have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
