The Maynard Tigers will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Sutton Sammies at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Maynard's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Friday, Maynard strolled past Quabbin Regional with points to spare, taking the game 59-41.
Meanwhile, Sutton was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 52-51 to Prouty.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Chase Gara, who scored 17 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Benedict, who scored 15 points.
Maynard's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Sutton, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Maynard beat Sutton 39-27 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maynard since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
