Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Walkersville Lions, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. Their rough 27-7 loss to the Hurricanes on Friday might stick with them for a while. The low total for Walkersville ended their streak of high-flying scores.
Leading Huntingtown to victory were Landon Cawley and Evan Kuntz. Cawley rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown, while Kuntz rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
Walkersville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Huntingtown, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Walkersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Huntingtown will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Decatur has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 475 points over their last 11 matches.
