The Hancock County Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the McLean County Cougars at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hancock County can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They blew past Frederick Fraize 58-6 at home. While fans of Hancock County might be used to big wins, the 52-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Meanwhile, McLean County didn't have too much trouble with the Raiders at home on Monday as they won 53-37.
McLean County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katie Mccoy, who scored seven points along with two steals and two blocks. Anna Miller was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Hancock County's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for McLean County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Hancock County was able to grind out a solid victory over the Cougars when the teams last played back in January, winning 58-50. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Miller, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
