There's no place like home for the Columbia Academy Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over Woodlawn Prep on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Columbia Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Woodlawn Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Braylon Reed and Cole Sinclair. Reed scored 15 points, while Sinclair scored 13 points. Sinclair scored a full 28.9% of Woodlawn Prep's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Carney, who scored 7 points.
Columbia Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Woodlawn Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia Academy will take on Wayne Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wayne Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Woodlawn Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
