The American Heritage Stallions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only American Heritage walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 3-0 shutout on Friday. Considering American Heritage has won five matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Isabella Larriu and
Samantha Lyew, who scored all three of American Heritage's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 17 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Gibbons entered their tilt with North Broward Prep with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Cardinal Gibbons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over North Broward Prep on Friday.
American Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-1-3 record this season. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6-3.
Everything went American Heritage's way against Cardinal Gibbons in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 as American Heritage made off with a 4-1 victory.
