The Collins Hill Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Central Gwinnett Black Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Collins Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Last Tuesday, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Collins Hill made off with a 52-51 victory over Mill Creek. The victory was all the more spectacular given Collins Hill's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Mill Creek is ranked 23rd).
Paris Fillingame was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Davis, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Central Gwinnett beat Mountain View 58-48 on Tuesday.
Collins Hill's record is now 12-13. Central Gwinnett's record is now 18-7.
Collins Hill came up short against Central Gwinnett in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 40-33. Can Collins Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
