Del Sol's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasire Johnson, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Todd Fox, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Basic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alvonte' Nelson, who scored ten points. Kelani Stafford was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Del Sol dropped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Basic, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
Del Sol will be playing at home against Chaparral at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Chaparral is ranked 67th, while Del Sol is ranked 80th). As for Basic, they will head out on the road to take on Green Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Green Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
