Lakeview Charter was the victim of a tough 57-33 loss at the hands of Triumph Charter on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lakeview Charter in their matchups with Triumph Charter: they've now lost four in a row.
Triumph Charter found their leader in underclassman Antonio Garcia III, who scored 18 points. Garcia III is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Oswaldo Araiza, who scored ten points.
Lakeview Charter has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Triumph Charter, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview Charter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Community Charter at 2:30 p.m. on January 18th. Community Charter is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Triumph Charter, they will be playing at home against Valley Oaks CES at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley Oaks CES has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
