The Hardee Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They fell 53-41 to Oasis Christian. Hardee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Hardee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tedrick Simon. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points.
Oasis Christian found their leader in underclassman Landon Gall, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Gall hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Justin Linares was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Hardee has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Oasis Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15.
Hardee has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Tenoroc is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses. As for Oasis Christian, they and the Knights will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Geneva Classical Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
