Snook Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Atmore Christian a 19-0 shutout on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.
Ethan Parker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Rubel, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Aaron Ashley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Snook Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Jackson Academy came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 15-3 victory. Considering the Eagles have won three games by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jackson Academy let Jacob Jones and Huntley Dees run wild. Jones scored three runs while going 2-for-2, while Dees scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Those hits were Jones' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Jordan, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Jackson Academy pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Snook Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Snook Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Jackson Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .521. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
