The Bullard Panthers are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Midlothian Panthers at 10:20 a.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Bullard's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
Bullard has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Westwood on Thursday as Bullard made off with a 81-60 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Midlothian entered their tilt with Lincoln with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. The stars were shining brightly for Midlothian in a 66-52 victory over Lincoln on Tuesday. Given Midlothian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Lincoln is ranked 902nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Alex Gilmore, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The game was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Case Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Bullard is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Midlothian, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
