The Bishop Eustace Prep Crusaders will square off against the St. Joseph's Prep Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bishop Eustace Prep has three straight wins, St. Joseph's Prep has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Bishop Eustace Prep needed a bit of extra time to put away Moorestown. They skirted past the Quakers 3-2.

Bishop Eustace Prep got a great performance from Eamon McDermott as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. McDermott has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabe Yates, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph's Prep suffered their closest loss since April 18, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Lansdale Catholic by a score of 6-4.
St. Joseph's Prep also got a good showing from Cole Kuhn, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Kuhn also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Hawks are 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise.
On the hitting side, John Sitler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Another player making a difference was Robby Grasso, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Bishop Eustace Prep pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph's Prep, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bishop Eustace Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Joseph's Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
