Olympic's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Hardnett, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave Hardnett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JD Terrell, who posted 12 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Myers Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ayo Awosanya, who went 8-for-11 to rack up 18 points. Awosanya is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bram Early, who put up 12 points along with seven assists and six boards.
Olympic's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Myers Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.
Olympic will head out to challenge East Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Olympic likes a good challenge. As for Myers Park, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-49 defeat against South Mecklenburg on the 21st.
