Camaya Adkins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Northwest Halifax's points. Meanwhile, Southeast Halifax's eight-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 51-26 margin over Rocky Mount Prep. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Southeast Halifax has posted against Rocky Mount Prep since January 21, 2020.
Southeast Halifax's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kemorriya Evans, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Evans has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Myrecle Harrison, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Northwest Halifax's record now sits at 11-3. Southeast Halifax's record is now 2-12.
Everything came up roses for Northwest Halifax against Southeast Halifax in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 60-18 win. With Northwest Halifax ahead 39-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
