Softball Recap: Milford's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Milford's victory against Anderson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Raptors 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three matches in a row.

Lanie McCoy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Paige Kinkaid also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Milford's record is now 15-9. As for Anderson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milford will head out to take on Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Anderson, they will venture away from home to face off against Mount Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson's pitchers better be ready for this one: Mount Notre Dame has averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
