In what's become a running theme this season, the Northeastern Knights gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Union County 51-21 at home. Winning may never get old, but Northeastern sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Northeastern was led to victory by Addisen Mastriano and Adysson Kircher. Mastriano scored five points along with 15 rebounds and six assists, while Kircher scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Kircher is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Cami Angi was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 11 rebounds.
Northeastern has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Union County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-13.
Northeastern won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Shenandoah is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Union County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
