The West Seattle won the last time they faced the Rainier Beach Vikings, and things went their way on Tuesday too. West Seattle sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-20 victory over Rainier Beach.
Bo Gionet was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 259 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. West Seattle also got help from Ryan Whitney who showed off his sure hands for 112 receiving yards.
West Seattle's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Rainier Beach, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
West Seattle will head out on the road to face off against Mount Tahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mount Tahoma will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Rainier Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
