Inspiration Academy is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Calvary Christian is on a 13-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Inspiration Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Academy of the Holy Names, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Jaguars on Tuesday. 11 seems to be a good number for the Lions as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Elle Hildreth was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Avery Bouquin was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March. Alexis McInerney was another key player, scoring two runs.
Inspiration Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian got themselves on the board against Mitchell on Tuesday, but Mitchell never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.
Morgen Talley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Talley was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julia Tamulski, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alexis Camilleri, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Inspiration Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Calvary Christian, their win bumped their record up to 18-0.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Inspiration Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Calvary Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Inspiration Academy suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Calvary Christian when the teams last played back in February. Will the Lions have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
