After flying high against the Ansley/Litchfield Spartans last Tuesday, the Pleasanton Bulldogs came back down to earth. Pleasanton was beaten by Elm Creek 58-25 on Friday. Pleasanton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-14.
Pleasanton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cassidee Paitz, who scored four points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Flood, who scored nine points.
Pleasanton now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Elm Creek, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Kenesaw the next time they take the court. Pleasanton will host Kenesaw at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Elm Creek will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
