Central California recap Oct. 9, 2012
Buhach Colony was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Central California. Earlier in the week, the Thunder defeated Pitman 28-7.
Merced and Turlock played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Merced eventually emerging with a 19-14 victory.
Merced's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bears feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Eli Gutierrez has thrown for 1056 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Bradley Adamson has 21 catches for 393 yards. Errol Dennis leads the league in rushing with 511 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Atwater takes on the Pride. The Falcons have allowed 50 points this season, while Pitman has given up 117. Atwater allowed 6 points last week as it defeated Golden Valley.
