The Jefferson Panthers had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.6 points), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Monday. They really took it to White Sulphur Springs for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-34 victory at home. Jefferson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.
Jefferson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryian Eveland out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Eveland has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. MacKenzie Layng was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven steals and six assists.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for White Sulphur Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Jefferson will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Broadwater will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Panthers are ranked 11th). As for White Sulphur Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
