Salesian College Preparatory is a perfect 4-0 against Piedmont since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pride will head out to take on the Highlanders at 4:00 p.m. Salesian College Preparatory will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
While Salesian College Preparatory's victory against El Cerrito wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pride won by a run and slipped past the Gauchos 2-1.

DeAmor Coleman made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Piedmont got themselves on the board against Hayward on Friday, but Hayward never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Farmers. The win continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Farmers: they've now won seven in a row.
Like Salesian College Preparatory, Piedmont also got a great game from a two-way player: Miya Fujimoto. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Fujimoto was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, Piedmont got a massive performance out of Angelina Wu, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those RBI marked the first that Wu has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Edie Elmquist, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Salesian College Preparatory's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Piedmont, their record is now 11-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Salesian College Preparatory has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Piedmont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Salesian College Preparatory took their victory against Piedmont in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pride since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
